Ingredients

  • 450 millilitres of pre-made ramen broth (store bought)
  • 100 grams of instant ramen noodles (store bought)
  • 200 grams of pork (or chicken)
  • 150 grams of sweetcorn
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 large scallions, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, sliced
  • 1 thumb-size piece of ginger, peeled and sliced
  • Spring onions (to taste), sliced
  • 50 millilitres of soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon of sesame oil

Directions

  • Step 1: Cook the protein Cook the protein (pork or chicken) to taste and let rest while preparing the rest. You can also use leftover chicken or pork. Slice before using it.

  • Step 2: Stir fry the ginger and garlic In a large pan over medium-high heat add vegetable oil and stir fry the sliced ginger and garlic until fragrant (~1 minute).

  • Step 3: Add the scallions Add the scallions into the pan and continue frying for 5 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add the broth and protein Add the broth and protein into the pan and set it to medium heat. Pour in the soy sauce and sesame oil and stir to mix. Stir occasionally while you prepare the rest.

  • Step 5: Boil the eggs Place the eggs in boiling water for 7 minutes and 30 seconds. Once the time is up, place them in ice water to chill.

  • Step 6: Cook the noodles Cook the noodles to packaging instructions.

  • Step 7: Take the broth out Turn the heat of for the broth and prepare for serving.

  • Step 8: Serving In large bowls serve the noodles first (including any broth that comes with them) and pour the broth mixture over them (including the vegetables and protein). Add sweetcorn and spring onions on top. Peel the eggs, slice in half, and place two halves on each plate.
